I’m Kathy, a 200hrs Yoga Alliance (Canada) Yoga instructor with a background in law, education and business. I’ve been practicing and benefiting from yoga since the age of 7 when I found my parent’s yoga book and began exploring techniques and postures on my own. I signed up for my first Yoga class under an inspirational teacher in my hometown of St. John’s, Newfoundland (Canada) over 15 years ago. In 2010 I started my journey as a teacher and I am now a certified and experienced teacher in Hatha Yoga, Pre and post-natal Yoga as well as Yoga for children and families.
Part of my journey has been to co-found Kalila, an online community and athletic wear company with my dear friend Claire. Together we have created something beautiful that is dedicated to improving maternal health globally. You can join me at Kalila for free podcasts and classes.
As with all aspects of my life, I try to bring a light-hearted and fun approach to my Yoga classes and I focus on the importance of being kind and caring to ourselves and others. When I’m not on the mat or the running trail, I’m with my little yogis (my kids) Laila, Jake and Lexie.
